Blooming in the New Year!

You’ve probably heard the adage, “bloom where you are planted.” Well, here we are, planted in a new year, waiting to see what may bloom in 2023. Today’s Weekly Revolutionary is inspired by Bloom Goddess and how she empowers us to bloom. So, here are 3 ways to bloom in the new year…and 3 revolutionary women who inspire our blooming! 

1.     Bloom by leaving. What do you need to leave behind in 2022? What ideas, perspectives, people, and structures are no longer serving you? You can’t bloom in the new year if you’re being choked out by weeds from the previous year. Consider what you need to leave behind. Need some inspiration? Lilith is just the revolutionary woman for you! 

2.     Bloom by creating. What new, creative things are burgeoning inside you this year? And how might you cultivate your creativity? Now, if you’re one of the subversive sister saints who likes to claim she’s not creative, I’d like you to reconsider. Creativity isn’t just limited to painting and drawing, for example. Instead, you can also be creative in your business ventures, cooking, gardening, parenting, and imagination. Try an adult coloring book. Meditate on empowering art. Or break out your paints and let your soul cover the canvas. Need some inspiration? Frida Kahlo is just the revolutionary woman for you! 

3.     Bloom by protesting. What causes are stirring you to action in the new year? Might you contact your congressperson or call out a company that has unjust practices? How will you use your voice to make a difference in 2023? Need some inspiration? The Protest Goddess is just the revolutionary woman for you!
