Summer Sabbath Retreats for Hawai’i Residents
Covid-19 and travel restrictions* have impacted us all. Just because you can’t travel off-island this summer doesn’t mean you should go without a restful retreat! Find solace, comfort, and beauty as you hear the waves crash into the cliffs while nestled in our relaxing retreat cabin just four blocks from the ocean. Take a short stroll to meditate by the ocean, splash through the tidepools, or hike through the jungle.

Location:
The Tehom retreat cabin is located just four blocks from Maku’u Point in Kea’au, a stunning vista with tide pools where the Pacific meets dried lava cliffs. Surrounding the guest house are a tangerine, mango, breadfruit, and banyan trees.
THE TEHOM OFF-GRID CABIN INCLUDES:
A luxury full-size memory foam bed
An outdoor hot shower on a secluded porch
A composting toilet
A cooler for snacks and medication
Internet / Wifi
An overhead fan
This 200 s/f guest house is not tied to the grid. Water for showers come from rain catchment and power comes from solar panels. The composting toilet is emptied and cleaned between each guest, so you would be the only person using it during your retreat. Drinking water is provided. There is an outlet only to passively charge cell phones, tablets, or laptops during the day (hair dryers, electric razors, tea kettles, or any other item that plugs into an outlet is not permitted as it would damage the solar inverter). The guest house is connected to Angela’s art studio, but it has a separate entrance.
Testimonies:
*Once travel restrictions are lifted, these prices are available for ALL Hawai’i residents, not just Big Island. Mahalo!
